Requirements
All renters must be atleast 18 years old or accompanied by
an adult, and have a drivers license
(no special endorsement is necessary).
A temporary license or permit is also necessary and can be obtained
from us.
Any training needed can also be provided by our on site trainer.
Safety
- Keep Left
We drive on the LEFT - that's probably the biggest difference
you'll find.
It's especially important to remember this at junctions, where
instincts often prevail.
- Speed
The speed limit island-wide is 30 mph.
In The Valley, Sandy Ground and other residential areas it is
reduced to 20 mph.
Please take corners and bends slowly and carefully.
- Practice Makes Perfect
Don't leave the scooter rental yard until you feel confident riding
the scooter.
If you do not, please do not rent one.
If you have any questions about the scooter be sure to ask your
instructor BEFORE you start out.
Fasten Your Helmet
You must wear an approved helmet when riding a scooter.
Please make sure it is correctly fitted and fastened at all times
when riding.
Roundabout Rule
Roundabouts (or traffic circles) are not as complicated as they
look.
Just remember to give way to traffic already on the roundabout,
coming from your right.
Once you are on the roundabout, you have the right of way.
Stop And Smell The Roses
If you want to stop to admire the view, take a picture, or consult
your road map,
PLEASE pull well off the road on to a grass verge, or wait for
a lay-by.
NEVER stop on a corner, roundabout or on the main road.
Happy Sightseeing!
We want you to enjoy your holiday.
Riding a scooter can be a pleasurable way to take in the sights
of Anguilla.
Please ride with safety in mind.
Following these notes of caution will help to ensure that you do
not become a road accident statistic.
